Rabies Virus Antigen Rapid Test (RBV Ag)

The rabies virus antigen detection reagent adopts the principle of colloidal gold immunochromatography test to qualitatively detect dog/cat saliva Rabies virus antigen in liquid.
After the aluminum foil bag is opende ,it is recommended to use it within 1 hour.

PRINCIPLES
Rabies virus (RBV) belongs to the genus Lyssavirus of the family Rhabdoviridae. It is bullet-shaped, and it is composed of a spiral symmetric nucleocapsid, an envelope, and single-stranded RNAs. It is mainly found in the salivary glands and saliva of diseased animals.
Rabies is a zoonotic disease caused by rabies virus and has a high mortality rate in humans. This product does not require any additional equipment and is used for in-vitro qualitative screening for rabies virus (RBV) antigen in saliva of cats and dogs.. This product is used for self-test.

MATERAILS PRAVIDED
1. Test Devices: 10 pieces test devices individually pouched.
2. Assay diluent in tube:10 units
3. Disposable swab:10 pcs
4. Disposable dropper cap:10 units
5. Work station:1 unit
6. Instructions For Use: 1 copy attached.

TEST PROCEDURE
1. The test device, specimen, assay diluent should be brought to room temperature (15~30°C) prior to use.
2. Place the assay diluent tube on the work station and tear off the aluminum film.
3. Collect stool(Saliva ) using a swab and insert the swab into the assay diluent tube immediately.
4. Mix the swab until the specimen dissolves completely into the assay diluent (Approximately 10sec).
5. Squeeze the solution from the cotton swab as much as possible, then discard the cotton swab and cover the dropper cap.
6. Remove the test device from the foil pouch, and place it on a flat and dry surface.
7. Add 3 drops of assay diluent drop by drop into the sample well on device vertically, and start the timer.
8. Read the results at 10~15 minutes. Any results after 30 minutes are no longer valid.

INTERPRETATION OF THE RESULT
Positive result:
Test line (T) and control line (C) within the result window indicate the presence of RBV antigen.
Negative result:
Only control (C) line appears in the result window indicating that RBV antigen has not been detected.
Invalid result:
If the control (C) line does not appear, the result might be considered invalid. The specimen should be retested.
